The Newcomen Society in North America Publications, First Edition Boxed Set of 22 Pamphlets, 1965
This 1965 boxed set of publications from The Newcomen Society of North America is a rare find. The set includes 22 pamphlets from distinguished authors from education, business, and the professions, discussing important matters of interest. The First Edition volumes were first delivered as addresses to The Newcomen Society, prior to publication.
Each pamphlet carries the Newcomen crest, carrying the Latin motto: ACTORUM MEMORES SIMUL AFFECTAMUS AGENDA, which means, "mindful of things that have taken place, at the same time we strive after things yet to be done." citation
I categorize this set as being in Very Good condition. Please see my guidelines for book condition by clicking here. Each paper copy is sturdy and strong, with no marks, rips, or tears. The photos show the two pamphlets that have some creasing on the cover. One has some smudging. The slip cover is in tact and strong. The paper that covers the spine show chipping. As you can see, the staples have rusted, but that does not interfere with the beauty of the set.
Marvelous to add to a vintage book collection, use as a unique home decor item, and as a gift to a lover of old books and history.
