Heath Modern Language Series Lettres de mon Moulin (Letters from my Windmill) Alphonse Daudet
This 1922 D. C. Heath Modern Language Series edition of Alphonse Daudet's, Lettres de mon Moulin (Letters from My Windmill) was first published in 1869 and is widely considered to be his most important work.
This delightful collection of short stories is tight with green and black boards and is in remarkably good vintage condition. It measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" and contains 184 pages, with two unnumbered pages of advertisements. The text is significantly marked in pencil and tiny script and underlining, sometimes in ink. Two pages show what looks to be an ink mark, measuring about 1/2". Otherwise, this is a wonderful addition to a collection of French writers, as well as a nice learning text.
This volume of the Heath Modern Language Series is edited by Osmond T Robert and illustrated by Carle-Michel Boog.
